EpicCare Link for Community Providers
What is EpicCare Link?
EpicCare Link is a secure, web-based portal that gives authorized community providers and clinics real-time access to UCI Health patient information. It allows you to view clinical data, communicate directly with UCI Health care teams, submit referrals, and track claim status all in one place.EpicCare Link is HIPAA compliant, browser-based (no software installation required), and designed to support coordinated, high-quality patient care.
Who should use EpicCare Link?
EpicCare Link is ideal for:
- Community physicians and specialists
- Independent medical practices and clinics
- Referring providers and care coordinators
- Office staff who manage referrals, records, or patient follow-ups
If you coordinate care with UCI Health or refer patients to UCI Health services, EpicCare Link helps streamline communication and improve continuity of care.
What you can do with EpicCare Link
With EpicCare Link, you can:
- View patient clinical information in real time

- Review visit notes, labs, and other results (based on your access role)
- Check claim status

EpicCare Link is made up of different “activities,” each designed for a specific task, so you only access what you need to accomplish your work.
Security and privacy
EpicCare Link uses multiple layers of security to protect patient data, including:
- Secure login credentials
- Two-factor authentication (2FA)
- HIPAA-compliant access controls
Only authorized users can view patient information, and access is based on your role within your organization.
How to register for EpicCare Link
Creating a new site for your organization/company:
- Go to carelink.ucihealth.org
- Select Request New Account
- Choose Request a new site (if your organization does not already have access)*
- Complete the site and user request form
- You will need to designate at least one site administrator (two max)
- Submit the request and accept the terms and conditions
After you have submitted your form for a new site:
- You will receive a confirmation message
- UCI Health may contact you if additional information is needed
- Approved users will receive login instructions by email
*If your EpicCare Link site has already been established, please contact your site administrator to be added as a user.
Technical requirements
EpicCare Link works best when using:
- Google Chrome (version 118 or later)
- Microsoft Edge (version 118 or later)
- Mozilla Firefox (version 115 or later)
- Safari (version 17 or later)
A minimum screen resolution of 1024 × 768 and a reliable high-speed internet connection are recommended.
