UCI Health celebrates the first anniversary of the UCI Health Community Network, formed by acquiring four community hospitals and their outpatient locations. This acquisition has transformed UCI Health into one of California's largest academic health systems with 1,317 beds, significantly expanding healthcare access in Southern California.
Since its establishment, UCI Health has seen a nearly 200% increase in patients served and a 77% rise in visits to ambulatory locations. Efforts to enhance patient experience include the creation of the Patient Experience Council and training for effective communication and whole-person care.
