UCI Health — Orange earns ‘A’ Leapfrog grade for patient safety
UCI Health — Orange has earned an “A” grade in the Spring 2026 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, marking the 21st time since 2014 the flagship academic medical center has received the organization’s highest rating. The designation reflects strong performance across more than 30 national quality and safety measures, including prevention of medical errors, infections and other patient harm.
This continued recognition places the hospital among the top-performing institutions nationally and underscores its sustained focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. Leadership highlighted the result as validation of systemwide investment in patient safety, innovation and clinical excellence across Orange County’s only academic health system.
