UCI Health welcomes new Comprehensive Epilepsy Program chief

David King-Stephens, MD, joins UCI Health as chief of its Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, a National Association of Epilepsy Centers Level 4 center which includes board-certified neurologists with subspecialty training and expertise in managing people with epilepsy, as well as fellowship-trained neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, and neuropsychologists.

King-Stephens completed a residency in neurology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, followed by a fellowship in epilepsy at Yale University. His areas of interest and expertise include the management of epilepsy, intracranial EEG studies, the surgical management of refractory epilepsy, and the use of neuromodulation in epilepsy.
