UCI Health is pleased to announce the dedication of UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center — Fountain Valley. Leaders from UCI Health and the Fountain Valley community gathered Wednesday to cut the ribbon for the center at 11190 Warner Ave., Suite 115.
Dr. Emad Elquza, physician-in-chief of the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, says the expansion of world-class cancer care in the region represents a commitment to improving the health of the community. UCI Health will be able to give advanced care to more patients and increase access to ground-breaking clinical trials.
UCI Health, Orange County’s only academic health system, purchased the center in October 2023 from GenesisCare as part of its effort to expand access to specialty cancer care across Orange County. Last month, the system established the UCI Health Community Network with the acquisition of four former Tenet Healthcare hospitals and ambulatory centers in Orange and Los Angeles counties.
