This tool allows you and your office personnel to see real-time updates on the status of your request and provides a secure platform to send all of the necessary documents. Routine referrals take 48 to 72 hours to process. Urgent referrals are processed between 24 to 48 hours.

Welcome to the UCI Health Referral portal, a secure web-based application that helps referring providers collaborate more easily with UCI Health. With the UCI Health referral portal, you can submit referrals at any time and securely send records, authorizations, and insurance information. Signing up takes just a few minutes. To get started, click request portal access. From there you can request access for yourself or for your office. Most requests are processed within about 2 business days, and once your access is approved, you'll receive a confirmation email. After that, you'll be directed to the UCI Health referral portal homepage. Across the top of the page you'll find a series of tabs along with additional links to help you navigate the site. Let's take a quick look at a few key features. Click new request to begin a new referral to UCI Health. Click my requests to view your patient referrals and track their status. The UCI Health Referral Center also offers training and support for all referral portal users, and you can contact the center at any time through the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page. Now, let's take a closer look at how to submit a referral request. Start by clicking new request. This will open your patient's referral intake form. Complete all required fields and include all supporting documentation to help speed the review process. When submitting a referral, you can request a specific provider and share important details for the UCI healthcare team, including the reason for referral, payer information, records or images, and CPT data. Here's an example of a completed referral request. All required information must be included. If additional details are needed, the UCI Health Referral Center will contact your office, but missing information may delay scheduling. You can also view your pending and processed referrals. Requests are categorized by intake status, such as submitted, under review, or processed. You can sort referrals by intake number, creation date, patient name, date of birth, intake status, and provider specialty. You can also filter or search by the patient's last name.
